I don’t always cook with the sun. Sometimes, I don’t even cook at all. We all have days where we can’t be bothered to step into the kitchen and turn on the heat. For those days, a cold “no-cook” meal can be just what you need.
Here is my take on it!
For this breakfast I kept it relatively simple:
- Tomato sandwich
- Vegetables
- Melon
- Cured serrano ham
We might not think about it much, but many meals can be made with ingredients that don’t need refrigeration.
Some ingredients that store well and are suitable for off-grid breakfasts include:
- Fresh, whole fruit
- Bread
- Tinned legume spreads
- UHT-treated milk and vegan milk
- Packaged cereals
- Dried, cured meats
